Feel free to contact me if you are interested in possible commissions or collaborations, or have an idea to a potential project.

I am Signe-Lill Bryde Valkvæ, an illustrator living and working in Copenhagen, obsessively investigating the combinations of shape and color to create humoristic and visual compositions. My artworks are bold and spontaneous, brimming with textures and colorful imagery, absurd-looking animals and fantastical figures.

As of 2017, I am a co-founder of NOWHERELAND; a design studio specialized in creating illustrative identity, interactive exhibitions and events with a focus on co-creation. Furthermore I co-run the self-initiated project Animationslaboratoriet, organizing workshops in stop-motion for school classes in collaboration with, among others, BUSTER Filmfestival, the Municipality of Copenhagen and the Danish Arts Foundation. Both projects are established together with Trine Løgstrup.

After completing a bachelor degree in visual communication at Kolding School of Design, I studied comparative literature at UIO in Oslo. Additionally, I am a self-taught programmer. In combination this makes it possible for me to work with a wide range of projects, exploring the interaction between drawings, text and the digital.
